Story Would Make Great Children’s Movie!
You can tell that the author Jan Culbertson is a father and grandfather. He takes a good tale for children and weaves it into a moving action adventure for young people. His book “The Legend Of Willow Springs Farm” is the kind of story that you would expect to be made into a good children’s movie. It has all the right elements to keep a younger audience’s attention. There is a little mystery, danger, lost treasure, horses, grandma’s old farm and even a villain. It is a perfect book to be read to young children and even a better book for fourth graders and above to read for them selves.
I read each and every page and enjoyed it and I am a 60 year young man! I think when my grandchildren get a couple years older I will read it to them.
The author writes from the point of view of two young girls who go to visit their grandmother’s farm. He captures that energy and spirit in his writing style and makes it believable. The book is family friendly. Boys as well as girls will enjoy the book; as will their grandparents and parents!
This book receives the Founder's Personal Endorsement and our children’s book rating of Five Teddy Bears!

A Delightful Young Person’s Adventure Book
Jan Culbertson has come up again with a great children’s book for those middle age children around 9 to 14 years old. His latest effort in a fine series of “Legend” books is called “The Legend Of The Lost Tiki.” It involves the adventures of two sisters who go off to Hawaii and find a lost artifact.
The writing will hold the imagination of junior high school children and those who are good readers who are younger. The style is moving and action filled. The author allows the young reader to place themselves in the shoes of our young heroes through the way he weaves the storyline and the unfolding of the plot. I also think that this would be a good book to be read to children by adults or by older children.
I continue to be amazed at the vivid imagination of Culbertson. His books run the gamut of themes and genre. This book will make a wonderful gift for those young people in your life who you want to hook on reading books. It is just a little over 80 pages long and the vocabulary is not too difficult. Each page has lots of movement and the plot unfolds rather quickly.
I give this book my recommendation. It receives our children’s book rating of Five Teddy Bears!

“The Legend” Juvenile Book Series Continues With 3rd Book!
Author Jan Culbertson has created another classic mystery book in his award winning juvenile book series. These books are aimed at 9-13 year-olds but like all of Culbertson’s books, all ages will enjoy reading them. His 3rd book in this series is called “The Legend of Dunsmoor Manor.” This is a truly fun children’s adventure that takes place in England in a haunted house. There is even a mysterious secret room and there is some digging going on in the graveyard. But I do not wish to spoil a good story by revealing too much.
Culbertson knows how to craft a good story that is age appropriate and entertaining. He follows the success of his other two wonderful books in this same series and we will find the same two sisters at it again. The story is easy to read for young readers or for younger children who would love to listen if it was read to them. It is well crafted, flows with enough energy and innocence that young people should honestly enjoy reading it.
This book makes for a wonderful gift to younger readers. It is totally family friendly and children will find the story engaging. I give this book a children’s book rating of FIVE Teddy Bears! It also receives the Founder's Personal Endorsement! Buy all the books in this series—of which there are now 3 with a 4th soon to be published.
